Villa Location Set in the exclusive, picturesque and unspoilt village of Torret, with only locals for neighbours and close to the old town of Sant Lluís, this house is in a large established private garden with almond trees, wild flowers and plenty of native tortoises. It enjoys panoramic views to the south over unspoilt open countryside. The village has a couple of good restaurants and Sant Lluís is a non-tourist residential area and is approx. 15 minutes walk from Torret; here there are banks, shops, quality restaurants and great local bars. Close by is the well stocked supermarket 'Sa Botiga' nicknamed 'Fortnum and Masons' with everything from fresh bread to locally made sausages. The sandy beaches of Alcalfar, Binibeca and Punta Prima are few minutes by car. The capital Maó and the airport are both only 15 minutes by car.
Villa Accommodation 
This old Menorcan farmhouse is a beautiful second home that retains its original character. It has been furnished with Spanish antiques and Indian rugs and captures the atmosphere of the Mediterranean. There is a wonderful covered terrace with cane sofas to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or an early evening gin and tonic while watching the sun go down. The dining terrace is the perfect setting for either a relaxing lunch overlooking the garden or dining with friends in the evening and enjoying a fine Spanish Rioja. The 12m swimming pool is gated and enjoys the sun all day. All the bedrooms benefit from air-conditioning and the villa has WiFi Broadband Internet. Ground Floor • A pretty well-equipped kitchen with hob/oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. • Breakfast area with seating for five around an antique marble top table. • The living room is bright and airy with a high beamed ceiling, open staircase, and wood burning stove, it is comfortably furnished with two large sofas and has Sat TV, DVD, CD Hi-Fi System. Curved topped french windows lead to a wonderful covered terrace with bougainvillea growing up the side and lovely garden views. • A lovely double/twin bedroom with king-size continental bed with en-suite marble shower room and french windows over looking the beautiful garden. • Double bedroom with a pretty antique barley twist four poster bed • Pretty twin bedroom. • Separate large marble shower room. First Floor • Spacious master suite with super king size bed and en-suite marble shower. Large French windows open onto a sun terrace with two reclining chairs, a small table and beautiful views across the garden to open countryside and the south coast. Outside • There is a wonderful covered terrace directly in front of the house overlooking the large private garden and a covered dining terrace. Both these terraces have bougainvillea growing up the side and enjoy wonderful views out over the garden. • Large west sun terrace with pergola covered stone dining table and surrounded by lavender, dame de noche and a mixture of citrus trees overlooking the pool and enjoying wonderful views of the garden. • Steps to a fourth terrace take you to the large swimming pool (roman steps), surrounded by sun terracing. • The large garden is surrounded by a traditional dry stonewall making it both private and ideal for children. It is a mixture of lawned and wilderness areas with Almond, Apricot and Nispros trees and it is luscious and green until mid-June with an abundance of wild flowers and plenty of native tortoises to be found. • A quiet lane runs from Torret through open countryside all the way to the old Moorish watchtower overlooking Binibequer (approx 20 minutes walk). *** Prices are for a party of 4 persons, for larger parties please add £50 per person, except High Season where the price is for the villa irrespective of party size *** |
